Young DJ protege taking Houston by storm. DJ Senega is mentoring DJ Maddy Rose, a young girl taking Houston by storm with her talent.

DJ Maddy Rose is blowing up, and she’s in seventh grade. “Most people are walking by and thinking that somebody else was DJing and this little girl just put the headphones on,” said DJ Senega Iles, owner of Premier Sound and Lighting.

To get attendees in the shopping spirit, organizers tapped DJ Senega, DJ Soulstar and DJ Maddy Rose to keep bodies moving and credit cards swiping. At just 12 years old, the latter turntable prodigy quickly became one of the evening’s biggest attractions.

While designer Bell and jewelry designer Mignonne Gavigan garnered much of the attention, it was petite DJ Maddy Rose, who just turned 12, that turned all heads. Under the tutelage of DJ Senega, this child rocked the night, seriously focused on her spinning discs.

She’s only 12 years old, but this young DJ goes to middle school by day but spins tracks at high-profile events all over Houston by night.
